Vijayawada Division, SCR honours Outstanding Performers under Swachhata Pakhwada 2025

As part of the Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, the Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway organised a Commendation Ceremony on 14th October 2025, to recognise officers and staff for their exemplary contributions towards maintaining cleanliness and promoting awareness across the Division.

The event was held at the DRM’s Conference Hall, Vijayawada Divisional Office, with Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, SCR, gracing the occasion as Chief Guest and presenting the Commendation Certificates and Mementoes to the awardees.

During his address, Shri Mohit Sonakiya lauded the sincere efforts of the officers and staff who went beyond their routine duties to ensure sustained cleanliness in stations, colonies, and offices during Swachhta Hi Seva and Swachhata Pakhwada-2025. He appreciated the innovative approaches adopted by teams in spreading awareness about hygiene, waste management, and reduction of single-use plastic.

He also emphasised the importance of making cleanliness a part of everyday culture rather than a campaign activity, highlighting that the success of Swachhata initiatives depends on collective responsibility and consistent effort from every railway employee.

The programme concluded with the distribution of commendations to the nominated officers and staff whose outstanding performance exemplified the spirit of ‘Swachh Rail – Swachh Bharat’. Shri P E Edwin, ADRM (Infrastructure), Branch Officers and staff members from various departments attended the event, making it a proud moment of recognition and motivation for the entire Division.
