Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Celebrated at Vijayawada Division, SCR

 

 

The staff and officers of Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway, paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary today, ie. 31^st October 2025 marking the celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

To commemorate the occasion, Shri Mohit Sonakiya, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to officials and staff at the Divisional Headquarters, Vijayawada. The pledge reaffirmed the commitment of railway personnel towards strengthening unity, integrity, and transparency in public service.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sonakiya highlighted the pivotal role played by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, in uniting more than 560 princely states and laying the foundation for a strong and unified nation. He urged the staff to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel’s ideals of dedication, nation-building, and integrity in public life.

As part of the celebrations, the Division also organised a ‘Run for Unity’, symbolising collective strength and the spirit of oneness. Railway employees participated with great enthusiasm, spreading the message of national pride, harmony, and solidarity.

On this occasion, Vijayawada Division joined the nation in paying homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, reaffirming its collective resolve to uphold his vision of a united, strong, and self-reliant India.
